Just look for "ies4linux", run the script and it installs IE5, 5.5 or 6.0 including flashplayer 8.0. It works for viewing most websites "just to view them". I use it for webdesigning to make sure websites don't trigger bad bugs in IE6.

Also, Konqueror lets you masquerade as an IE user.

And I belive opera too can do this. There might be an extension to firefox for it too, but I don't think it comes with the browser.

Re: internet explorer specialized os?

That is not the extension, if such an extension exists. IETab embeds an actual session of IE in a Firefox tab.

Re: internet explorer specialized os?

Hmm, maybe you should move to another country then wink

My bank supports firefox since a year or so now, before that they didn't support it but it worked for 90% of all times.

In our country we have a big community made up of non-windows users, these include Mac OS X users, who can't use Internet Explorer at all because it isn't available for their OS. These users mail companies about the issues with browser support, most companies aren't even aware of other browsers.
