I installed CUPS, Ahavi, set it up as the guide entailed yet my printer is not found. In a terminal I ran
$ avahi-browse -a | grep Printer
And found the printer I was looking for. Now, the thing is, I (embarrassingly) have no idea how to use that information. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

For what it's worth, I used the cups web interface to install and configure my printer.

I am such an idiot... turns out org.cups.cupsd.service wasn't running. Apparently it gets shut off by default?

Now if the service is running, is there any logical reason that the web interface cannot the printer?

I found it. Not sure why but it has been found.

Nope. My printer still isn't being found. It found *A* Printer, but not the one I wanted.

What kind of printer? I know that some HP deskjet types become unresponsive when in sleep mode.
Edit: Is the printer on the same subnet as your Arch installation?
