Hi everybody!
In the last few days I got this error
python3.7/site-packages/requests/__init__.py:91: RequestsDependencyWarning : urllib3 (1.25.1) or chardet (3.0.4) doesn't match a supported version!
RequestsDependencyWarning)with two new packages I installed - rtv and instaloader.
After the second time with instaloader I decided to try another package. I installed instagram-scraper and got the same message
instagram-scraper username xxx
/usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/requests/__init__.py:91: RequestsDependencyWarning: urllib3 (1.25.1) or chardet (3.0.4) doesn't match a supported version!
RequestsDependencyWarning)How to solve this?
Thank you in advance!

Looks like both packages need older versions then the ones provided by archlinux.
rtv is in community, I think you should create an archlinux bug report for it.
instaloader comes from aur, you should try contacting upstream to inquire what versions it supports.
If you want a workaround : try installing those packages through pip AS USER.
the pip provided files often include supported versions of dependencies.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Lone_Wolf, thank you for your reply!
I am not sure there is a need for a bug report for the rtv package cause yesterday when I started system-config-printer I got the same message. Plus some other messages. And system-config-printer is in extra.
system-config-printer

Gdk.threads_leave ()I doubt so many packages in different repos to give the same error without anyone noticing it. I would rather assume the problem is with my installation.
Regarding pip I used to have it but uninstalled it to not mess things up. In some posts I have read here on the forum I see people saying it is not recommended. I would prefer to solve the problem without it.

Pip is fine if you install packages, like Lone Wolf said, with "--user" into your home directory. This way the global directories used by pacman are unaffected.

I don't see a bug report on that yet.
Does downgrading to /var/cache/pacman/pkg/python-urllib3-1.24.2-1-any.pkg.tar.xz temporarily fix the problem.

Sorry guys for not replying earlier.
@ teckk
Yes, I am using testing. And since I had no better idea I removed the rtv folder, uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. That got rtv working though the message still appears. I have not tested the earlier version you mention, nor I filed a bug report. I have never filed a bug report before so I am not sure how to do it. I am afraid it is above my level of competence.

I meet this problem, too. Downgrading solves it, temporarily.
But I think this is not arch's fault, the package is just too new.
