Issues with headphones persist

So I got many different kinds of issues with my headphones and this time I waited to observe what happens around. Earlier my headphones would work if I restarted my laptop (and they always worked on my dual booted windows so my headphones surely have no issue) but now it didn't helped me. I hanged on for a week with it and last night I forgot to plug in my laptop so battery ran out and it shut off. When I turned it on, headphones seem to work again. I am not sure if there is some pattern to it or it is something completely random but it really is irritating as I have to go through some lecture videos and without headphones I suffer.
