Hey all,
I'm having some issues with wxmaxima, which seemingly have decided to self ignite. Its a tad hard to explain what exactly is up with it, as.. well, there's a lot wrong with it hah. But basically, it seems like the UI isn't redrawing probably. In particular, the main document. If loading larger documents, large chunks of the document is never rendered. Also, if the main menus are expanded in a way they overlap with the main document, they leave are big rectangular marks on the document after they are hidden.
I tried various WMs and its all the same. I'm on:
wxgtk3 3.0.4
wxmaxima 19.04.1
nvidia + nvidia-utils 418.56
and i was just wondering if anybody is seeing similar issues, and what you have done to rectify it?

UPDATE: Linking against wxgtk2 resolves the issue.

Same problem (I agree, an issue not easy to explain). I use wxgtk3 3.0.4-2 and nvidia 418.56-8
I don't understand very well your suggestion of linking wxmaxima with wxgtk2, I've solved the issue downgrading to wxmaxima 19.01.3-1, but I don't like to use not-up-to-date packages. I'd appreciate a better solution.

Same problem here: wxMaxima worked just fine until some days ago (cannot remember which update broke it up), then this issue popped out.
Basically if I load a document, large portions of the document aren't rendered, so that I see white in some lines where there should be some text or code.
Some regions flicker when scrolling, the UI is really useless this way.
This happens with all the documents I tried to open.
When writing a new document, the problem seems gone; even if I save, quit wxMaxima, and reopen it, it renders correctly with no flaws nor visual artifacts. But I haven't done much more testing yet.
