Lenovo Thinkpad T470s runs fan at full speed after wake up from sleep

Hi,

my T470s is turning up the fan on full speed after waking up from sleep. I have to reboot in order to get the fan quiet again.

Is there a way to find out the reason, why the system is forcing the fan to run at high speed?

What BIOS version are you on?

There was a bug that looks like your problem.

Was fixed with a BIOS update.

[edit] just seeing in the paste, you are on 1.20 which is rather old (issued  2017/10/27).

Update your BIOS either by direct flashing or using fwupd (not sure if available for the T470s, on my T470 it works).
