How to Record Sound from internal mic?

Hi,
I'm using simplescreenrecorder to record a video of my computer screen. I'd like to also record the sound coming from the internal mic as the video is being captured. The mic works as I tested it with arecord.

This guide seems relevant to my question since I do see the  same options in pavucontrol, but it didn't help. Please advise.

Commenting on your thread but not to offer a solution to your problem.

Simple screen recorder works pretty much out of the box for me. This is without an internal mic.

Why comment on your thread? You just saved my day with simple screen recorder. ffmpeg is good but the setting are are bit complicated.

Obs works great for me https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?name=obs-studio

if your graphics card is too outdated you can try running it with "MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.10 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=310 obs"

Possible something is wrong but simple screen record gave me terrible stuttering when recording a rectangular region of the screen.

Not much else tried with it but let's see with time and more experimenting.

Tried out OBS, too but yet to settle on anything.

The creator of simplescreenrecorder predicted the stuttering if you don't use JACK, and recommends using JACK for quality sound recording.  The link I provided earlier mentions this.
