Keeping the system clean after building an AUR package mit makepkg

Hi, I was about to build an AUR package (firefox-wayland) with makepkg, but the process took so extremely long that I cancelled. However, there were numerous packages installed by makepkg before actually trying to build the package (maybe 40 if I remember right). Now that I dont need them anymore, I want to uninstall them, but cannot find an easy way on Arch. I looked around and found
pacman -Rsn $(pacman -Qdtq)
but it only lists 20 packages. Is there a way to completely revert the installation process of firefox-wayland on Arch?

-r, --rmdeps Remove installed dependencies after a successful build

edit: nvm, that's before you build

Also consider building in a clean chroot in the future:

ok so all dependencies are installed into the chroot and i can delete them later easily. but if i have build the package, some runtime dependencies are needed still. will pacman resolve those then? with pacman its very easy to uninstall packages and their dependencies with pacman -Rcs and i have used that a few times successfully already.

runtime dependencies are added at install time by pacman.

Incase you want to build on live system, I've found using makepkg -Crs helps a lot with keeping system clean.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

pacman -Rsn $(pacman -Qdtq)
but it only lists 20 packages.

Most likely the other ~20 are optional dependencies for packages you already had installed, so they are not listed by -Qdtq.  You could use -Qdttq, but this could have the opposite problem and list a few packages that you would want to keep.  Personally, I ensure optional deps that I actually want are explicitly installed to avoid this situation so it's always safe to remove everything listed by -Qdttq on my system.

To be on the safe side, get the -Qdttq list, then review the list before removing everything on it.

Thanks for your tips! Now that i know how to build a minimum viable setup for me, i plan on starting again, not repeating some of the mistakes i made i.e.: Installing regular packages as root (killed my efi partition once, but managed to repair it with the live usb again), not adding disk encryption etc.
