Avoid setting FF network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy=0 to post here?

In Firefox, when I set network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy=2, I get the following error when I try to post here:

Info

Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source. If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL. More information regarding the referrer check can be found in the FluxBB documentation.

From other threads (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=220394), I know a solution is to set  network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy=0, but that affects all sites. Is there a way to overcome this so I can have better privacy/security everywhere else and still post here?

Re: Avoid setting FF network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy=0 to post here?

I've encountered this updating my profile or changing my password and it seems to work with `network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy=1` also

0 = Send the full URL in the Referer header
1 = Send the URL without its query string in the Referer header
2 = Send only the scheme, host, and port in the Referer header

Can you explain what you mean by "it seems to work..."? My goal is to be able to use "network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy=2". Did you find a solution for that?

I can't even post a reply here with my preferred setting. I get this:
