ekiga update

I have tried:

# ekiga-config-tool --install-schemas

And I get

Resolved address "xml:merged:/opt/gnome/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults" to a writable configuration source at position 0
I/O warning : failed to load external entity "/opt/gnome/etc/gconf/schemas/ekiga.schemas"
Failed to open `/opt/gnome/etc/gconf/schemas/ekiga.schemas': No such file or directory

For that matter, the file does not exist in arch32, either. But considering the nature of the failure of start up (reported in the other thread) this is a good line of attack.

I have had a quick google around; and the file is generated in various rpms and debs. So, this is something specific about the present arch build. Obviously, for arch32, it caused no probs, however.

Maybe someone has some extra thoughts on this one?

Re: ekiga update

That turns out to be a dead line of enquiry. I found the file here:

opt/gnome/share/gconf/schemas

and copied it over. Did not make any difference... grrr!
