Good afternon,
This couple of days Ive been configuring sxhkd for the last day and there seems to be a problem with it I cant find the solution to anywhere. I have set up my .xinitrc so the sxhkd service starts after the x server is launched, but when I enter my WM (i3), some keybinding ive set in the sxhkd config dont work. What is really weird about this is that if I launch sxhkd from the command line when I am already inside of the x server it works perfectly, but I cant get it to autostart anywhere (ive tried the i3 config , xinitrc and systemd service). When the sxhkd is autostarted some keybindings work (brightness and media keys) but the keybindings involving super key, alt, etc... dont work whatsoever. Does anyone have any idea why the sxhkd would work by launching it from inside the x server but not when it is launched in the .xinitrc?
Thanks a lot

I just figured out that if i replace $TERMINAL with urxvt it works. I thought that this worked with environment variables. My bad
