Hi, I know this topic has been discussed on this forum several times before, and I've been using those posts as well as the wiki but nothing seems to be alleviating the problem. I have a wifi card in this laptop with a BCM43142 chipset. I've installed the broadcom-wl package and that's allowed me to see the interface through
ip link which yields this:
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: enp8s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether 54:ab:3a:2b:d9:39 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
3: wlp7s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether b0:c0:90:49:70:d2 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ffSetting my wlp7s0 interface to up doesn't seem to change the "UNKNOWN" status. I can see the interface here, but not in my KDE Network Interface menu. I don't know if there's something I'm missing or not, networking through the command line isn't really one of my specialties. I know it can as I've gotten it to work on Debian before, I just don't know what to do with Arch. Has anything changed since the previous forum messages have been made that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Arrines

# wpa_passphrase "$ssid" "$password" > /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant-wlp7s0.conf # replace $ssid with the name of the access point and replace $password with the actual password
# wpa_supplicant -B -i wlp7s0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant-wlp7s0.conf
# dhcpcd wlp7s0Does it connect now? If not then post any error messages in full.

Well there were no error messages, I realized I didn't have graphical access to my network manager so after installing all that and getting it enabled I can see and connect to my WiFi network, but I am not getting Internet. I only get Internet through Ethernet still. Any ideas?

Scratch that, it works now. This post can be closed.
