Auto-decrypt & mount LUKS-encrypted USB backup harddrive

Hi there!

For about 3 years, I configured my Arch-based Thinkpad to auto-decrypt (via keyfile) and auto-mount several of my backup devices.
I did this by putting entries into

/etc/crypttab

and

/etc/fstab

with their particular UUIDs.
This worked fine since an update some weeks ago (I'm not sure which module caused it).

Now, when I plug-in my USB-drive for backup (I'm using btrfs) it is not automatically decrypted. Nothing happens. When I manually decrypt it using cryptsetup, it is automatically mounted as before.

Does anybody know what I have to configure to get the previous behavior running again?
There is no useful information in dmesg or journalctl that anything fails, it seems that there's just nothing triggered on device plugin.

Thanks a lot for any helpful answers!

I use udiskie for this.

What do your relevant crypttab & fstab look like? I've had a similar setup using systemd's automount for about a year and nothing stopped working recently for me.

/etc/crypttab

nas	UUID=e9d22d09-6b8c-47f9-b199-6d12809b990b	/etc/path/to/key/file	luks,noauto,nofail,x-systemd.device-timeout=5

/etc/fstab

/dev/mapper/nas	/mnt/nas	ext4	noauto,lazytime,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.idle-timeout=5min,nofail,x-systemd.device-timeout=20	0 2
