FAILED message while booting Arch

Hi there.

I just noticed some red FAILED message while booting Arch running on "Linux version 5.1.3-arch1-1-ARCH (builduser@heftig-19477)" on an Lenovo T480s Thinkpad. (The laptop was connected over HDMI to an external monitor while booting).

Using `journalctl -b -p err..alert` I got the following output:

I'm wondering what those errors mean and how to fix them.

Re: FAILED message while booting Arch

What does your own research tell you about the messages?

Sakura:-
Mobo: MSI MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX // Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @4.9GHz // GFX: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT // RAM: 32GB (4x 8GB) Corsair DDR4 (@ 3000MHz) // Storage: 1x 3TB HDD, 6x 1TB SSD, 2x 120GB SSD, 1x 275GB M2 SSD

Making lemonade from lemons since 2015.

May 22 12:45:12 ShadowLinux kernel: thinkpad_ec: thinkpad_ec_read_row: failed requesting row: (0x01:0x00)->0xfffffffb
May 22 12:45:12 ShadowLinux kernel: thinkpad_ec: initial ec test failed

My own research tells me that those messages are related to the battery in my laptop and it may come ffrom the kernel modul "thinkpad_ec".

May 22 12:45:12 ShadowLinux systemd-modules-load[286]: Failed to insert module 'tp_smapi': No such device or address

This one seems related to the two messages from above.

May 22 12:45:12 ShadowLinux kernel: kvm: disabled by bios
May 22 12:45:13 ShadowLinux kernel: kvm: disabled by bios

Just some harmless? messages telling me that kvm is diabled.

May 22 12:45:13 ShadowLinux ntpd[734]: giving up resolving host 2.arch.pool.ntp.org: Name or service not known (-2)

Nothing.

May 22 12:45:25 ShadowLinux lightdm[1169]: gkr-pam: unable to locate daemon control file

My research tells me this is a problem with the gnome-keyring (I'm using i3 with lightdm and the gnome keyring) that some environment variable is not set or set too late.

May 22 12:45:28 ShadowLinux ntpd[734]: bind(23) AF_INET6 fe80::a1b2:64b7:bf64:1391%3#123 flags 0x11 failed: Cannot a>

This one seems to be an error from ntpd reporting that it could not establish an IPv6 connection (the network I was connected to did only support IPv4).
