Hi there, just updated to latest stable mesa and restarted the computer and in my case, Steam and Spotify(spotify-dev package from AUR) are graphically glitching.
Gnome with Wayland fully updated (This was not happening with 19.0.4-1)
Don't know if it's an upstream problem with mesa or what.
This is Steam (I'm not doing touching anything)

Do dmesg or journalctl show error messages when this happens ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
(A works at time B) && (time C > time B ) ≠ (A works at time C)

I don't see anything in particular. Seems to be something related to Chromium based GPU acceleration. Disabling HW accel on Steam fixes the issue. But Spotify is still unusable.

@jmsardev: What hardware and graphic drivers do you use?

AMD System (Ryzen 1700 + RX580). AMDGPU drivers (Just the kernel ones)
Looks to be happening to more people, https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comm … ps_glitch/
But I don't know the right way to report this to mesa upstream

Looks like it has been reported and fixed in master , see
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110721#c13 and
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/ … 75edfe497e
It should be in a stable release soon, but until it has landed there you have 2 alternatives :
- downgrade to previous mesa version that didn't have the issue , 9.0.4 .
- switch to mesa-git.
LordHeavy's unofficial repo builds against testing and (due to gcc 9.1 being in testing) won't work unless you switch to testing .
You'd have to build my AUR mesa-git / lib32-mesa-git packages.
Switching from extra mesa to aur mesa-git is easy, going back is trickier.
