[SOLVED] Arch hangs at boot

Every time i start my pc, right after it passes the grub screen it will hang with this message:

Starting version 242.29-1-arch
/dev/sdb1: clean xxx/xxx files, xxx/xxx blocks

And this goes on and on and on until i spam any key on my keyboard and then it finally boots up to sddm. This started about a month ago but since it had an "easy fix" i ignored it so far but would like to fix it finally. I am running latest everything (last system update 3 days ago). Where should i start looking for the problem? I'm new to Arch and  this is the first "real" problem i got so i'm not yet good at troubleshooting

Re: [SOLVED] Arch hangs at boot

This is an issue with the kernel's early boot entropy generation, if your CPU supports it lscpu | grep rdrand gives you output, add

random.trust_cpu=on

to your kernel parameters otherwise install and enable haveged

Re: [SOLVED] Arch hangs at boot

this problem hit me middle of last night.

If I understand, I'm to add that random thing right on the same line that starts with "linux", right?

Then ctrl-x to start with the new param?

Because that gets me nothing.  My main desktop computer out of commission until I can solve this.  Please help!

Re: [SOLVED] Arch hangs at boot

Don't necrobump solved topics because you assume to have the same issue (which you apparently don't have otherwise pressing buttons would solve this just the same)

Open up your own thread with information about your own system and what exactly happens/in what way the freeze or non booting shows itself.

Closing.
