GNOME occasionally freezes on mouse drag and drop

Hello there,
Whenever I would like to drag&drop anything, I will have about 3 seconds before GNOME will freeze for about 5 seconds, then repeat, until I will drop what I was dragging. This timing varies much, up to around 10 seconds.
In a similar fashion, it also happens when I use Automation editor in LMMS.

No new messages appear in dmesg after such freezes.
Freezing LMMS run from console outputs nothing either.
I don't recall when it began to happen, possibly from the beginning of me using Arch in August '18 (I didn't use drag&drop much for a long time, nor did I reinstall Arch).

What can I check to provide additional info?

E: CPU spikes at such freezes, which looks like an infinite loop somewhere.

Also, I am using a laptop, DEXP p651se (Ares E103). Freezes occur no matter whether I use mouse or touchpad, but it seems that freezes occur more with touchpad than with mouse.
