I have a separate hard drive that has a Windows install that I occasionally boot into to play a few games that aren't supported on Linux. I also use rEFInd to boot.
Whenever I unplug my hard drive, the default bootloader is set back to grub and I have to re-run `refind-install` to get the bootloader updated and get the computer to boot into Linux again.
Any ideas on why that might be happening? As far as I can tell it has something to do with the nvram getting erased and reset, but that doesn't make much sense to me.
