Audio/Video desynchronisation

CPU: Intel Celeron N4100
Display chip: Intel HD Graphics 500

When I start playing video via mpv/vlc, a video is laggy. In mpv I see

Audio/Video desynchronisation detected! Possible reasons include too slow
hardware, temporary CPU spikes, broken drivers, and broken files. Audio
position will not match to the video (see A-V status field).

The "bad" one is slightly bigger and has a 20% higher fps and you're not using HW decoding and the CPU isn't that great (though the video specs aren't excessive either)

Otherwise it seems the "bad" one is from a (smartphone?) camera, the "good" one some download. If that's a critical pattern (you've *only* issues w/ those cam videos, maybe even all of them) this might be an issue w/ the cam encoding and a remux eg. w/ mkvmerge) might "fix" that.

I configured hw acceleration and I see output of vainfo. Videos in vlc are fine, in mpv are laggy so it looks like mpv doesn't see/use hw acceleration.

Please don't necrobump.
You've an nvidia chip, so you want to use vdpau instead of vaapi, maybe "--vo=vdpau --hwdec=vdpau" and also "--ytdl-raw-options='format="mp4,best[height<=768]"'" because the GT720m has no hardware decoder for vp9

Edit: and you can put those into ~/.config/mpv/something.conf - check "man mpv"
Edit #2: that's actually a local file, so ytdl-raw-options won't do anything (it's for youtube videos) - you cannot decode that video in HW and 4k VP9 might reasonably too much for your (undisclosed) CPU
