I have a laptop with an NVIDIA card and a 4K HiDPI screen. I would like to use it with a secondary screen, which is not HiDPI.
The HDMI port is linked to the NVIDIA card. I have managed to make the external screen work using the guide from https://unix.stackexchange.com/question … -bumblebee
, which also seems to be quite similar to the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bu … VIDIA_chip
The problem is that it doesn't look like scaling works. Using something like xrandr --output VIRTUAL1 --scale 2x2 resizes the background, but the applications remain at the same scale. Is there anything that can be done?
I am using Cinnamon, with NVIDIA drivers. Let me know what other information about the system is useful.
