[solved] applications aren't added in the application menu in plasma

After installing any software with pacman, said software doesn't show up in the application menu even though it can be ran directly from command line.
This problem suddenly occured on a fresh install of arch. I am up to date.
I have no idea what caused it.

A quick reboot seems to have fixed it. Sorry for the trouble.
