new pc driver problem and disk problem

hi everyone
     this week i brough a new PC, i try to install archlinux.but i am not master how to find the driver for the mainboard .so ,i came here for some help.

       i have another question . my new pc's disk is seagate 10  250G  sata .  when i install the arch , i edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file ,
i add  this

title windows xp
root (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

but it can't to load the windows xp.  while my old pc is ok,my old pc's disk is seagate 40G ata.
could you help me?

try this for booting windows xp with grub

title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

your drivers will be
network card= forcedeth
video=nv or nvidia
sound= snd-intel8x0

that should do it
as for the firewire ports i am not sure.

hi 
    the disk problem is resolved now.
but the graphic driver is no. because when i do "pacman -S nvidia " ,then pacman auto to download and install the nvidia driver ,then i edit the /etc/rc.conf ,i am add the "nvidia" to the DEAMON. but when i shutdown the computer ,i saw the tips "/etc/rc.shutdown can't found the nvidia " ,please help me .

Nvidia is a module, not a daemon. So you should add nvidia to your MODULES array, not to the DAEMONS. Udev might load it automatically, so this may not be necessary, but adding it to MODULES can't hurt. Also, if you want to use the nvidia driver for X11 you'll have to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf as well. Also check the wiki on the subject:
