Hi there,
I would like to know some steps to investigate what is happening on my machine. Arch gets frozen after the display turns black (suspend) after a few minutes of inactivity. If I'm always working it never happens, just after that time of inactivity.
I have activated the sysrq Key but it does not work, so I have to do a hard reset every time this happens. It all started after the first update with the 5.0 Kernel, I switched to the LTS version 4.19.34-1-lts and it happens less frequently than with 5.0.7 stable version. When I use the newer one it keeps getting frozen even while working.
There are no error messages in journalctl neither boot error mesages.
Hardware specs:
Dell Latitude 7490
Boot device: Samsung 970 EVO 512Gb nvme
16Gb ram Samsung
Core i7-8650U
I read the troubleshooting part from the wiki but couldn't find something that can help with this issue.

sudo journalctl -b-1
in [ code ] tags after rebooting from a freeze.
FWIW Samsung drives are notorious for issues with power saving, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/So … Linux_4.10 for a potential remedy.

I am waiting that it fails, since yesterday is working OK. I haven't done anything to fix it. I'll report back when I have something.

I'm trying to paste the output here and in pastebin.com but it exceeds the limit size of 512Kb.

use a github gist, split it over mutliple pastes or zip it and use sth. like a google drive etc.

This is the gist where you can see the journalctl log.
Using the LTS kernel it freezes after getting the suspend state, if I switch to the newest kernel it is even worse, it freezes randomly after a few seconds or minutes.
Also, I checked the values of
nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=5500
and it has the recommended ones.
