[Solved] qpdfview fails after libsyntex upgrade

After upgrade libsynctex (2018.48691-9 -> 2019.51075-1) I get:

$ qpdfview
qpdfview: error while loading shared libraries: libsynctex.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Reversing the upgrade fixed the issue. Rebuild/bump missing?

https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … /qpdfview/ if the changelog is anything to go by it should've been appropriately rebuilt. Are you doing partial updates? Post your pacman.log in doubt.

Are you doing partial updates?

It might also have been a partially synced mirror with [extra] synced and [community] still in the queue, but the date of the qpdfview package makes that quite unlikely.
I that case try to update with a different mirror or retry the update after ~15 minutes.

Thank you for your help, but the explanation is much, much more mundane: a long time ago, I had installed a custom version of qpdfview... and then totally forgot about it. Mea mea culpa
