My scenario:
I'm using a laptop.
My integrated monitor is my primary monitor (eDP-1).
I have a external monitor that I use at home (DP-1).
I followed the "Multihead" article on Arch Wiki to configure my two monitors and everything seems to work fine.
My configuration file on xorg:
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "eDP-1"
Modeline "1920x1080_60.00" 173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync
Option "PreferredMode" "1920x1080_60.00"
Option "LeftOf" "DP-1"
Option "Primary" "true"
EndSection
Section "Monitor"

Option "RightOf" "eDP-1"
EndSectionThing is:
1. When I boot my system with the VGA plugged in, the two screens work fine. But when I unplug it, it's like I didn't. The second screen keeps existing. My DP-1 monitor appears disconnected on xrandr but I still see two workspaces on i3wm, still can move my cursor to the other screen and it still appears on arandr.
2. When I boot my system WITHOUT the VGA plugged, my main monitor works fine too. But when I plug my VGA, nothing happens. I have to reboot if I want to use a second screen.
So, basically: I want to know how I can configure my system so it reconfigures itself based on the VGA input.
Tried searching for a solution but it looks like this is the standard behaviour. Just... isn't working for me for some reason?
Anyway, thanks in advance.
