Skype signing out everytime it is launched again

Here's a brief explanation of what's happening:
1. Open Skype and sign in
2. Close it (including in the tray bar)
3. Open it again and then it automatically sign out from my account

I can actually see my account conversations and then it suddenly gets disconnected. I see someone mentioning that gnome-keyring fixes it here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=234135. But I honestly don't think this is an appropriate fix for the issue. I also have an other desktop computer that it stays logged without gnome-keyring.

I also tried to delete ~/.config/skypeforlinux/ folder but nothing changes. I'm using stable Plasma packages. I installed only plasma and plasma-meta packages.

Why would you mention the gnome keychain if you are using KDE? KDE has its own keychain except its called kwallet.

Your issue sounds like its most likely a keychain or a permission problem. Make sure your home and config folders are owned by you. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fi … ermissions

I'd say that link describes exactly your problem and if you install gnome-keyring then skype will remember your password. What is your "other desktop computer"?

Any updates on this ? I have the same exact problem and installing gnome-keyring does not sounds good to me as a solution, instead as a workaround!
