Everything works with integrated graphics. (I have a laptop with integrated Intel graphics, and a discrete Nvidia card.)
Today, I decided to start using my Nvidia card instead, and followed the instructions on: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/nvidia-xrun
Now, after my laptop wakes up from sleep, Chrome is all blacked out. Other applications, including Kate, Konsole, Sublime Text -- are all working fine.
Right now, I handle this by running "killal chrome", and restarting Chrome. Video games are playable only when KDE/Plasma is launched with nvidia-xrun.
(I've tried using Nvidia Prime, Bumblebee switching, etc, but none of it works. Besides, my CPU often gets too hot--so I'd prefer to never use Intel graphics.)
Specs: HP Envy 17t. CPU: Intel i7-8550U (which comes with Intel UHD Graphics 620). GPU: NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (the 4 GB model). Display resolution: 4K.

Well, now it works. I didn't do anything to make it work--it just working on its own. Only thing is: I get an error message saying that KWin has crashed, every time my laptop wakes up from sleep. Plus, there are sometimes random artifacts on certain applications--that go away if you force a repaint (by dragging the window, scrolling, etc). For instance, Visual Studio had a splatter of random rainbow colors in the middle of my code. Oh well, I can deal with this.

Sleep breaks KWin randomly, around 2/3 of the time.
I've decided to suffer through it.
