when booting up arch, my laptop freezes during the load of initramfs and the linux image. After hard rebooting 2 or 3 times, it loads correctly. I have to deal with this everytime I try booting up.

You're probably not going to get any takers on this until you provide a complete log.

Hi, I am having a similar problem: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=247446,
To get the logs you need try:
$ sudo journalctl -b > ~/LOGFILE this will write the logs in "LOGFILE" in your home directory
Hope you find a solution...
