BOOST is out-of-date

BOOST is one of the core libraries in C++ and marked out of date for 3 month already. New version is expected in one more month.

Do anybody know if there are some problem with new upstream version, that block packaging?

If there is, you may find it on arch-dev-public or the bug tracker.

I tried arch-dev-public but it seems it is not as public as it is named:

It is not as I could not build it by myself, I just want to use it at work.
So absence of package in official repo is reason for me to be more cautious.

If you managed to build it and it works, put the PKGBUILD into the AUR.
You can also contact the package developer directly and point them to your working PKGBUILD.
They might actually appreciate the help, if they needed any in the first place.

It is publicly readable, but only devs/TUs can post to it.

As you have noted, boost is a core library, updating it isn't a simple case of changing a number in a PKGBUILD, running makepkg, and uploading the new package. Every package that links against the boost libs will need to be rebuilt too, which means the maintainers of those packages need to co-ordinate and check their packages rebuild cleanly and work correctly with the new library.

The package will be updated in due course, in the meantime, keep your eye on the suggested resources and see if an issue pops up that you can help to diagnose and resolve.
