[SOLVED] ip link set DEVICE up fails

I recently bought a new laptop, and I'm in the process of installing Arch, but I'm coming across a very strange error? Specifically, I want to connect to wifi through wpa_supplicant, but wpa_supplicant returns the following

Could not set interface wlp0s20f3 flags (UP): Operation not permitted
nl80211: Could not set interface 'wlp0s20f3' UP
nl80211: deinit ifname=wlp0s20f3 disabled_11b_rates=0
wlp0s20f3: Failed to initialize driver interface

So, I tried to set up the interface but then I get

[user@hostname] sudo ip link set wlp0s20f3 up
...
iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Microcode SW error detected. Restarting 0x0.
iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Start IWL Error Log Dump:
....

(I'm typing this from what I see on my laptop... I'll try to find a better way to send over these logs). Anyways, the issue seems to be something with iwlwifi. Running lspci shows that my network controller is "Intel Corporation Wireless-AC 9560 [Jefferson Peak] (rev 10)". There seems to be different versions of the firmware under /lib/firmware, but I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to do with these. The weirdest thing is that the wifi works perfectly on the ArchLinux usb I made for installing Arch, so I'm guessing this might be an issue with different versions of the firmware? If anyone can help out with this issue, that would be great.
