Hi,
I installed the latest updates today and rebooted my system. I opened xterm and only the left half part of the icons were shown.
Other applications such as xfce4-terminal display the icons without any problem, both programs are using the same font, Hasklig.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have you tried changing the font?
Moving to NC...
Offline
Also, what happens if you type the ligature left to right or right to left (eg. type ">", then go left and type "-", then go right and type ">" again, resulting in "->>")?
Offline
@jasonwryan
Yes, I have tried multiple fonts, but none seem to be displaying the arrow fully.
@seth
It doesn't get replaced with ➜ (U+279C)
Offline
Is the missing glyph U+279C? I though because it's hasklig, it would be a ligature.
Post your PS1.
Does the glyph show up when you type it and move the cursor around?
Offline
@seth
It's not just that glyph, that was just one example.
My PS1 ${ret_status} %{$fg[cyan]%}%c%{$reset_color%} $(git_prompt_info)
No, only part of the glyph is there when I enter it into xterm and move my cursor around.

Weird. The only thing that remotely looks at me in your update list is mesa (tiled rendering), please post your xorg log and also the output of "xrdb -query" (could be some text, you might want to redirect that)

Try to drop xf86-video-intel (you'll "resort" the modesetting driver) - see the note in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … stallation
If the problem goes away and you want to keep the intel driver, we'll have to see whether any option can affect this.

@seth
No, it doesn't make any difference unfortunately.

LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1 xtermThen I'm out of ideas :-(
Edit: that's for the modesetting driver, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … RI3_issues
