First, I tried lots of things so don't ask what I tried to fix this, I can't even remember everything. I've been fiddling with this for 4 days know and still no audio.
Installing Alsa stuff and other audio hardware programs and nothing makes it make even a beep out of the speakers. It does work because before I threw windows out of it the audio worked, well, I'm the unluckiest dude on the planet if the audio IC stopped working as I installed this.

Switched to 100% in 2020 and haven't been happier but have used Linux on and off since back in the 90's.
It's either Linux or Electronics for me, fixing broken laptops and make them "faster" with Linux running on 'em

I've read about it but didn't believe it but here it is... NOW all of a sudden the audio works!!!!
Yes I've rebooted/logged out plenty of times before this post but nope, that won't help my audio problem.
But NOW... after reading up on a couple of google-searches a couple of hours or so with the laptop "online" it just started to work.
This is spooky
The laptop was added to my network and had access to internet so it might have done something, but I have no clue of that made the audio to work.
Don't ask me what, cos I have NO!!! clue.
Case "automatically" closed.

Switched to 100% in 2020 and haven't been happier but have used Linux on and off since back in the 90's.
It's either Linux or Electronics for me, fixing broken laptops and make them "faster" with Linux running on 'em
