Audacious on Cinnamon: Small Album Art in Desktop Notifications

Dear All,

Quick question for those running Cinnamon 4.2.2-1 DE: Are your album art/covers small/tiny in the desktop notifications generated by the GUI music player you use?  A description and images of the issue from ~5 yrs ago can be found at the following link for the music player Audacious (which I'm currently using):

https://redmine.audacious-media-player. … opics/1181

While the issue appears to be in what version of the notification specification a particular daemon follows, I'm sort of surprised that my searching on this issue or for a solution has only returned a small number of hits and no clear fix. So I'm looking to see if I'm missing a configuration somewhere or if anyone has a potential workaround for this. Thank you in advance.

In the meantime, all of the album covers associated with the individual songs are near or at 500x500 px, so that isn't the issue. I've also tried several different music players as well as Cinnamon themes to no avail. Lastly, I can render the album covers at a reasonable size with dunst with the config option max_icon_size = 72 in i3, so it again suggests either a misconfiguration or limitation in the notification daemon builtin to Cinnamon.

Again, thank you in advance for any suggestions,

Halocaridina
