Hi, i've bought Samsung 860 QVO SSD recently and faced problem that it works on low speed (1.5 Gb/s instead of 3 Gb/s) and generate a lot of errors in dmesg. First of all i'd like to know is it kernel issue or my hardware issue (motherboard maybe)?
dmesg:

my MB doesn't support 6.0 Gb/s, only 3.

Maybe try a different SATA data cable.

Yes, different cable or SATA port on the motherboard.
As an aside, you can get faster if you use a CPI-e 2.0 controller card. They are pretty cheap. I am using one on a machine at work on an older motherboard. Search amazon for the following which works 100% under Linux. I'm sure you have other options too:
I/O Crest 4 Port SATA III PCI-e 2.0 x1 Controller Card Marvell 9215 Non-Raid with Low Profile Bracket SI-PEX40064
CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs

I swapped cable. Let you know later if it changes anything.

It is good idea! I'll try and let you know.

Maybe old problem is back?

Thank you for the link. I'll try it ASAP.

I found that my MB has only 1 PCIx1 port. It doesn't enough for such a fast controller.
