I have a lot of fonts in the catalog
~/.local/share/fonts.
KDE starts up very slowly and works slowly.
I have ~ 40 catalogs
What can I improve?

What makes you think there's any connection between the font files and KDE's performance?
If you are convinced that too many fonts is the direct cause of the poor performance, why are you asking what you can do to improve it: remove some fonts.

I uploaded a packet of 74,000 fonts. They are grouped in different catalogs. I do not know which will be needed during my daily work, so I do not know which to remove. If I remove the entire package, the system quickly starts up.

I could assume kde re-caches the fonts w/ every login, but unless that takes sooooo long that it continues while you're actually in the session, I don't see how that would slow down anything but the session start.

I have removed junk fonts in low content collections. Currently, KDE is starting as originally
