Gwenview failing on tiff imags with JPEG compression

Hi guys

My current Arch Setup with KDE is broken regarding Gwenview. I scan tiff files with XSane using JPEG compression. In the past never a problem. Since a few days I can not open the tiff files with Gwenview anymore. Error message:

$ gwenview scan0507.tif 
TIFFReadDirectory: Warning, Unknown field with tag 347 (0x15b) encountered.
foo: JPEG compression support is not configured.

Does anybody know this issue? I already expected a problem with a broken Imagemagick version but was told via bugtracker this is not related.

Could you upload one of those files somewhere so we can test them ?

If you don't feel comfortable showing the content, just scribble something on paper and scan that.

I did some testing  with several programs :

gwenview and lximage-qt both fail with the same error messages as you posted.
feh and okular have no problem showing it, qview from AUR chokes also.

qview and gwenview both use qt5-imageformats , not sure whether lximage-qt also uses that.

The last update of qt5-imageformats was more than one month ago. To long to cause this trouble. Pretty strange

No, the last update was in June 30th, and now that you finally posted a sample image it is clear that this is a bug in qimageformats.

EDIT: fixed in qt5-imageformats 5.13.0-2
