Re: [Solved] SSD not detected at boot

You didn't post output of S.M.A.R.T. test, as you were told in post #13.
Also you could output of command smartctl -a /dev/sdX where X is your problematic SSD drive.

Re: [Solved] SSD not detected at boot

Also the apparently non-deterministic behaviour suggest that the SSD shows up late to the BIOS. Did you meawhile gain access to the latter?

No @seth, no luck, my friend hasnt showed with the jumper i need, and i have searched even in some DVD-RW and Hard Disks i have but not a single jumper to borrow.

So then the SSD is healthy i think

All the motherboards I've seen, assuming they don't have a clear CMOS button, have two pins next to each other.  You don't need a jumper. You can use a screwdriver or a paperclip.

Lol, we have done it,  I have just cleared the CMOS, now what should I enable? All the legacy stuff and virtualization?

Btw thank you @ispanos  !!!

Re: [Solved] SSD not detected at boot

You can do S.M.A.R.T. tests by commands:

smartctl -t short /dev/sda
smartctl -t long /dev/sda

and if there were errors repost output of command smartctl -a /dev/sda

Re: [Solved] SSD not detected at boot

Ok heres what i have done.-

1.- Updated the BIOS to latest version available
2.- Enabled virtualization, all usb legacy support, tried to disable all UEFI related things, with BIOS update, a new feature appeared, the NVMe AMI SSD Driver, i have enabled that.

The output for the two S.M.A.R.T. commands is this, no other input besides that.-

[jorgecg@codigo-5 ~]$ sudo smartctl -t short /dev/sda

It looks that the BIOS setting change solved the problem also, thank you all very much
