suspend with systemd-boot - hook required?

I have issues getting suspend working properly. The fisrt suspend works, after the second one my screen turns black and wont turn on again.

I wonder if I need to add resume at hooks in mkinitcpio.conf? I thought booting with systemd-boot with the kernel parameter resume=/dev/sdaX is enough?
