Troubles with my sound

Whenever I start KDE I get messages that /dev/dsp can not be opened, permission denied.

I've tried to add my user to the group audio, but the error still pop's up when I start up KDE. 

Can anyone help me get my sound to work?  :cry:

I have the same problem.After add user and trying to start mplayer I can't get sound.
But as root  everything working fine.

have you try a reboot?

Try in kcontrol using ALSA instead of OSS as audio output driver.
