[SOLVED] Wireless interface does not show up (sometimes)

Greetings!

I have recently encountered a problem with my wlan interface, sometimes it does not show up after startup.
I have Arch dualbooted with Windows 10.
I searched for the same issue, and it happens to be related to my notebook's (Thinkpad T470p) wireless card:

Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8265 / 8275 (rev 78)

I have a recommended driver installed with firmware, though.
Here is the output of uname -a:

Linux t470p 4.19.61-1-lts #1 SMP Fri Jul 26 10:27:00 CEST 2019 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Name of the interface is wlp3s0. When there is no connection after startup, ifconfig shows only two devices: wired interface (enp0s31f6) and a loopback adapter (lo).
I have also found a similar issue, and it was solved by using LTS kernel. I did reinstall the kernel along with headers, but it seems to have no effect in my situation.
I am using Network Manager, and tried to use WICD, but with no result.
Any help would be highly appreciated. If you need any additional information, please let me know!

Re: [SOLVED] Wireless interface does not show up (sometimes)

Thank you again seth for sharing this link with me, I totally forgot about disabling Fast Startup feature after Windows 10's latest update smile
The problem seems to be solved for me, as there are no signs of this issue for a couple of hours.

Re: [SOLVED] Wireless interface does not show up (sometimes)

You're welcome. This is a common issue and nb. that windows has in the past shown a tendency to silently re-activate fast-startup w/ updates.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
