Discord - tray icon not showing when minimized to tray

Hi all,

does anyone have problem that the tray icon of Discord is not showing when it's minimized to tray?

It runs in the background (altough the icon is not visible), and I can restore it but opening the application again, but the icon is not shown...

I read somewhere that it's a common problem for electron apps...

I am running Openbox and Tint2.

I have the same issue

I don't know if this is the best solution, but installing gnome-shell-extension-topicons-plus solve the problem.

He is using Openbox and Tint2. A Gnome extension will not help at all.

As far as I'm aware, Electron apps all depend on libappindicator-gtk3 for their tray icon functionality.
Assuming Tint2 supports libappindicator, it should be enough to install that and reload.

I can confirm that installing libappindicator-gtk3 works for (Manjaro) Gnome as well.
