Hi! I recently decided to install arch linux, and I choose Deepin DE as my environment. Everything is running smoothly, except for the startup sound. The sound in general is playing just fine, like musics, videos, etc. The only issue is with the startup/turn off sound. And when I open the deepin control center, go to system sounds, and click one of the startup or turnoff sound, it plays! It's just not playing when it should do. Am I missing something? Thanks for helping.

Hi,
I dont know if this is exactly the problem that you have, but, I noticed the same problem on my workstation when I used Deepin Environment before.
If I install it in eg. VMWare Workstation, the start sound plays well.
I think it has something to do with the speed of the machine. The Login is too fast.
this is only guessing and far away from knowing the exact problem
Do you have an fast ssd system?
btw. if everything else related to your sound system works well....do you like this startup sound so much?
System Sounds are the very first thing I always deactivate, weather I work in Windows or in Linux..
Have you tried to choose another start sound?

Thanks for your reply, but no, actually I have a pretty slow machine xD
I do have an nvidia graphics card installed though, I should had posted some of my computer specs. I think it has something to do with it because the sound output I use is via HDMI cable, but it is already setup in the deepin control center too.
And when I tried it on virtual machine (virtualbox) I got the same issue as far as I remmember, so I don't know if I missed something in the installation process :P
And about the sound system, yes xD
I pretty much like the deepin login sound, it is too loud though.

Okay, if you like the sound so much, you got a problem.
I'm sorry, then I can't help.
I have no experience with sound over hdmi on the PC.
Good luck.
