Hi all,
I would like to use nvm for Node.js from now on. So, I've uninstalled node together with all dependencies and installed the nvm from the AUR. I've already installed 3 versions of Node.js and nvm seems to be working fine.
Now I want to install back some packages that were uninstalled during the uninstallation of the node package. When I try to install e.g. boostnote it wants to install yet another Node.js version, apparently as root. So, how do I handle this situation? Should I proceed with this installation like this? Is it possible that packages like boostnote use the Node.js versions installed with nvm in the home directory?

I also don't understand what is meant by that:
"--assume-installed nodejs=<version>"
Could someone please enlighten me?

That is a pacman flag that is recommended for your exact situation. When you are unable to install a package with pacman because that package depends on nodejs, then add the flag with the version of node that you are using from nvm.
