[SOLVED] systemd-modules-load.service fails at every boot.

It fails at every boot, and the journal rotation warning is displayed every time.
How do I go about figuring out why this service is failing?

I did some digging and found these modules in the files scanned by systemd-modules-load.service

These are the 2 DKMS modules I have installed in case they have anything to do with it

Did you check which of those modules is not loaded?

I had the same problem. I investigated as instructed here in this thread and found that
in my case, VirtualBox vboxdrv and other modules were not being loaded for a lack of
configuration files for the LTS kernel (4.19) I have installed alongside the arch kernel
(which LTS kernel I think really should not be using stock arch kernel modules normally..).

Removing virtualbox-host-modules-arch (6.0.10-5)
and installing virtualbox-host-dkms (6.0.10-1)

is working for me.

modules-load.d is not kernel or kernel version specific so /usr/lib/modules-load.d/virtualbox-host-modules-arch.conf is used by linux-lts

linux-lts will not use modules built for linux which is why the service failed as it could not find the modules vboxdrv vboxpci vboxnetadp vboxnetflt for linux-lts.

Hey loqs, I was wondering about your answer.
My system started booting with the LTS kernel,
that is why I was getting this err message in the first
place. Not a problem at all, i changed grub configs
unintentionally & had not noticed before.

Stupid me!

PS: Not really... that was only part of my problems!
I had to sync back with the 1st August static repo.
Messing with Vbox modules happened with upgrading
these pkgs:

cairo (1.16.0-2 -> 1.17.2+17+g52a7c79fd-1)
exiv2 (0.27.1-1 -> 0.27.2-1)
imagemagick (7.0.8.58-1 -> 7.0.8.59-1)
keyutils (1.6-1 -> 1.6.1-1)
libgee (0.20.1-2 -> 0.20.2-1)
libgudev (232-1 -> 233-1)
libmagick6 (6.9.10.56-1 -> 6.9.10.59-1)
libraw (0.19.3-1 -> 0.19.4-1)
libxnvctrl (430.40-1 -> 430.40-3)
pango (1:1.44.1-1 -> 1:1.44.3-1)
nvidia-settings (430.40-1 -> 430.40-3)
x265 (3.1.1-1 -> 3.1.2-1)

Also, i was using the linux 5.2.5 at this time.
just now I noticed there seems to be a new upgrade for linux 5.2.6
I will _not_ try that, though... but maybe linux 5.2.5 together with
one of those above-mentioned pkgs is a vbox module killer

Also, I will keep to upgrading Arch once a month only, at the first
day of the month, as i noticed that upgrades get a little less stable
after the monthly Arch install .iso image is created...
