SANE, ImageScanV3 and Epson ET-2750 (Ecotank) Printer/scanner

Hi I'm having problems getting SANE to find my scanner.

I've gone through the arch wiki, and have determined that the imagescan V3 (utsushi), is the scanning backend for my scanner.

I've installed sane, imagescan, and imagescan-plugin-networkscan in that order.

I've plugged in the ET-2750, and run utsushi. utsushi has found the scanner and I can scan from that application.

I've also correctly configured utsushi to use the network connection for the ecotank.

However when I run scanimage -L , no scanners are found (neither the USB nor the network connections).

I've tried running scanimage -L as root, but I get the same problem.

I'm not sure where to go from here.

Just searched the forums for the same issue and found https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=248435

Basically you have to compile imagescan without the line

  sed -i -e 's/ -shared / -Wl,-O1,--as-needed\0/g' libtool # https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=655517
