I don't even remember how I managed to do this, I haven't tinkered with my hobby laptop in ~6 months at this point.
Despite previously being able to do so, I can no longer connect to the internet in any way on my arch install.
$ ip addr
1: lo: <LOOPBACK, UP,LOWER UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
inet6 ::1/128 scope host
valid_lft forever preferred_Ift foreverip is clearly missing at least two devices from what I can tell.
I dualboot windows and while in windows mode I can connect to the internet via ethernet but not via wifi ("No wireless device found" or something like that, my windows isn't in english). I tried reinstalling drivers for the network card which did not fix the problem. The drivers wizard is able to detect the network card unlike the wifi configuration menu.

What packages are you using to try to establish connection? What is the type of network you are connecting to?
Try using iwd with dhcpcd enabled. dhcpcd should handle ethernet connection automatically.
Offline
I enabled dhcpcd and restarted which did not fix the issue. iwd is not installed and I can't install it (since I don't have any internet).
I'm trying to connect to my router in my room, both via cable and wifi. It works for both my stationary and my phone. Problem is that I can't even find the devices required to connect in the first place.
I've got NetworkManager enabled and I don't think anything else (I've checked for these ones: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … _managers)
I'm not sure if I answered your questions, let me know if you want to see the output of some command or something

What is the module loaded for the wired NIC? Network_configuration#Device_driver.

What is the output of the following
pacman -Q linux
dmesgEdit:
As the system does not have net access can you copy the output to removable media then upload it to a pastebin?

Does the following succeed?
# modprobe r8169If not check dmesg see if there are any new messages.

Yes, it succeeds

That fixed my ethernet, but my wifi is still busted.
edit: would the proper thing to do be to mark this one as solved and make a new thread for the wifi or should we keep going?

I would keep this as one thread. What module should be loaded for the wireless interface?

Not sure how to find out, lspci isn't giving me anything: https://pastebin.com/2gF5zNAA

Suppose it might be the second one, but I don't know the module name: https://pastebin.com/8pNSSiK5

I do not see it in lsusb either. Looking back at the dmesg you posted

That could be it. It should probably be a combo device with bluetooth via usb and wifi as a pci device. The ids from lsusb lead me to forum posts about asus laptops with rtl8821ae for wifi. Since windows doesn't detect it either, is the wifi card still fully seated in its connector?
Edit: You can get device ids with lspci as well with the parameters "-vnn". That is often more useful than the text to find information.

This is what I get on the Ethernet controller with -vnn:

Thanks, but this was more general advice for a future problem since ethernet was already fixed and the wifi module doesn't show up in lspci at all.

Edit: I thought you were on a live usb trying to install arch.
