Issues with laptop subwoofer

Hello archers : )

My laptop has an integrated subwoofer and I'm having trouble getting it working. It isn't detected out of the box and so after a bit of searching, I tried HDAJackRetask to override an unconnected pin to Internal LFE. When trying to apply the settings, it throws an error about the device being busy. So, I tried and stopped pulseaudio and it works. Doing

speaker-test -Dplug:surround21 -c3 -twav

perfectly outputs through all the speakers. But the boot override in HDAJackRetask doesn't seem to work, it just shows the default config after reboot. I need to stop pulseaudio and apply it every time. Help me please. Thanks : )

A little info:

$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC3246 Analog [ALC3246 Analog]
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1]

  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 8: HDMI 2 [HDMI 2]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 9: HDMI 3 [HDMI 3]

  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 10: HDMI 4 [HDMI 4]
  Subdevices: 1/1

Edit: Changing the profile to HDMI output doesn't turn the subwoofer off after I apply the settings. This needs a fix too :(
