Menu items vertical overlap

Hi,

After a recent update, my menu items overlap vertically: https://i.imgur.com/TINUclD.png

Font is NimbusSans-Regular.otf: "Nimbus Sans" "Regular".

GNU-Free-fonts does the same thing, whereas Noto and Cantarell are fine.

I'm really keen on using Nimbus, so I hope there's a fix...

Oh. I'm using Openbox and there doesn't seem to be any overlap/offset/padding value relating to this.

Re: Menu items vertical overlap

Is there a way of making the same font smaller? I don't use Openbox so I can't tell.

Re: Menu items vertical overlap

Sounds related to "pango is now harfbuzz" and clients using fixed values for extent calculation matching that of pango (or the calculation now is just shit)
You could file a bug w/ openbox and see whether they need to make adaptions or pass the ball to pango.

Actually, that's not true. After reloading openbox, it works fine.

I'll be using Free Sans (gnu-free-fonts) for now.

Open Sans (ttf-opensans) is also a good alternative.

Cheers
