Hi guys,
i bought this new notebook with the following vga chipset:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation UHD Graphics 620 (Whiskey Lake) (rev 02)
sometimes i have problems with screen flickering and glitches (i use only the i915 builtin module in kernel), and sometimes the screen become like freeze.
Tried to investigating, i disable the DBC (via https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De … s_Control) e the only error i see in dmes is this one:
[drm:intel_cpu_fifo_underrun_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun
I found a lot of different solution for this error but i know what is the right one for the whiskey lake chipset.
Any tips?
thanks

Oh, God, I'm ashamed, I read this line wrong:
Note that the enable_psr=1 kernel parameter appears not to work properly
from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De … s_Control)
it's 0 not 1
indeed now my screen works fine, thanks man

According to this topic if you have the kernel 5.2.8, you don't need the workaround enable_psr=0 any more. HTH.
