Hi:
My Question is quite simple, this thing works under Linux?:
http://www.sumadata.cl/detalle.asp?id_producto=3
http://www.hl.cl/adaptadoresusb/adaptad … entral.htm
every adapter say "Windows 98/XP/Mac", but none say "work under Linux".
The main use is for my laptop (integrated keyboard sux). My Keyboard to plug is an Microsoft  Natural.
P.S.: Sorry for my English (Chilean Archer  )

As far as I know, adapters such as those do not need extra drivers or anything like that; if it's a ps/2 to usb adapter then the system/OS will see the device as a usb device, even at the lowest level.. hence it will work with any OS. The "for windows/mac" blurb is probably only a marketing device.

and also, a single usb port can support (theoretically) up to 127 devices, so your devices will work fine, as if they were two usb devices connected to a usb hub.

The windows/mac specs found on many such items seems to mean they have TESTED it on such systems and confirm it worked.
So if you use it under any other system, you're on your own.
NOTE : this is not as bad as it looks.
I currently use these items without problems under archlinux :
KVM switch
GPRSUMTS-card
HP USB printer
TFT screen
All of them had only windows and mac in the specifications.
The umts-card was even specifically listed as NOT SUPPORTED under linux.
Offcourse the windows/mac software that came with the devices doesn't work, but that kind of software is often very bloated and i never missed it.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Oh, of course. But I was referring specifically to the devices that luisrobles linked to. Is a ps/2-usb adapter not transparent to the system, so that it wouldn't matter whatever OS is used--the device(s) is simply detected as a usb device..?
